February 2024: Monthly Recap

In case you missed it, here's some of the exciting things that happened at Sew A Story in February of 2024!

To Grandmother's House Fabrics

My newest fabric collection, To Grandmother's House with Riley Blake Designs, hit stores in February! Welcome to a magical world inspired by the famous classic fairytale, Little Red Riding Hood. To celebrate, I hosted a blog tour to help showcase the fabrics! If you sew using this fabric collection, please share social media posts using the hashtag #ToGrandmothersHouseFabric and tag me @sewastory_jenniferlong so I can cheer you on!

New Patterns

I released the craft patterns for my To Grandmother's House fabric collection. These projects will take you on a journey through a woods filled with larger-than-life strawberries, enchanting mushrooms, and the the Grandmother's pies and Little Red's basket found in the fairytale! I hope you love these patterns as much as I do!

Quilt Alongs

I started the month very busy and very creative by participating in many different quilt-alongs. I'm hosting a QAL for my Eat the Rainbow quilt. I'm also participating in the Riley Blake Block Challenge and the Fat Quarter Shop Quilted Witch. It's so fun to use my fabrics to stitch along with others. Check out my progress by clicking on the photos below.

Pattern Club

We released two fun patterns inside the Pattern Club this month! We were all about mushrooms this month as we made mushroom quilt blocks and stitched stuffed mushrooms! I even shared a video with my favorite products and best tips for making the stuffed mushrooms! I hope you join this membership to get creative each month with me!

Fun Freebie!

I released a fun freebie on my blog this month. To celebrate the launch of my new fabric collection, I wanted to share a little freebie! Introducing...the Little Red Applique for my in-the-hoop machine embroidery friends! This cutie finishes at 4" square, so it's great for any size machine embroidery hoop your machine may have! She just needs some tiny scraps of fabric and a few thread colors. Once finished, sew her into your quilt blocks, small sewing projects, or clothing items! Enjoy!

I hope you had a fantastic February full of sewing and creativity! If you're not already subscribed to my newsletter, sign up here to be the first to know what's going on at Sew A Story! And follow me on social media to see sneak peeks at upcoming patterns, fabric collections, and more!
