Welcome back to week 3 of the Riley Blake Designs Block Challenge. Isn't this so much fun?! What a wonderful way to bring quilters together! I am meeting so many new friends on Instagram and Facebook. Thank you for the follows and for sharing your blocks using the hashtag!
You are invited to join myself and 15 other Riley Blake Design designers as we share 16 NEW and exciting 10" quilt blocks! It is fun and free and the final quilt is a surprise!!!
We are starting today (January 3rd) and ending May 23rd with the finishing instructions! Every Tuesday, a NEW block pattern is released, except the last Tuesday of the month when we take a moment to catch up, get inspired and really enjoy all the awesome work happening on the RBD Block Challenge around the globe!

Block 3: Threaded by Christopher Thompson
Block 3 of the #RBDBlockChallenge is designed by Christopher Thompson of The Tattooed Quilter and is called Threaded.
You can download the FREE block pattern here:
I made mine using a combination of my Forest Friends fabric and some coordinating RBD Confetti Cottons (see my fabric list at the bottom of this post). I chose to fussy cut the entire center of the star! I love that I was able to get the whole #forestfriendsfabric family in the center of the block. I simply fussy cut my center square to 6 1/2" x 6 1/2" unfinished and completed the rest of the Threaded Block with the same directions! Sew much fun!!!
Quilting together is all about community, friendship and creativity. I hope you can join us and share your progress.
