The Santa's Workshop Felt Panel is perfect for having fun with the little ones in your life while preparing for the holiday season! Sew, teach, play, and act out the bustling activity of Santa’s Workshop, the elves, and all of the holiday helpers.
Week 1: Prepare and Cut
Week 1 is for gathering our materials, cutting our shapes, and embellishing them! This week, I am sharing details for the supplies you need, how to find resources for the SAL, and more. Watch the video, below, as I welcome you to the SAL!
Needed Supplies:
•(1) Santa's Workshop Felt Panel
Optional Supplies:
36” x 48” Basic, white craft felt for back of dolls
Embroidery Floss for embellishments (I'm using Aurifloss in these colors: 2311, 2250, 1148, 2888, 1135, 2620)
Hand sewing needle and thread
Plastic snaps (or velcro) for bag closure
Batting scrap for bag handles
1/2"non-fraying ribbon for bag tags
Pinking shears
Embellishments such as sewn-on sequins or buttons
Instructions for Week 1
Carefully cut all the pattern pieces on the outer cut lines.
2. Optional: Embellish the Felt Doll with any hand embroidery details or sewn-on sequins or buttons. Caution: Be aware of age appropriateness for any embellishments you sew on.
